The roofing system tent package includes a mattress, three pillows, an LED interior light, a removable rear canopy, mosquito nets on each door and a compact aluminium ladder. The tent’s clamshell roofing system is also made from insulated fibreglass, which Autohome says will keep the tent warm in cold weather and amazing in hot weather – as well as muffle rain noise.

When erected, the tent steps 2.3 metres long, 1.3 metres broad and 1.5 metres tall. The tent’s roofing system is also mounted on a pair of gas struts, which allows it to be opened by simply releasing a clip at the rear of the roof-box.
The roofing system tent is the most recent addition to the Defender’s list of 170 customisation options – and Land Rover expects it will show particularly popular on the as a complement for the adventure Pack, which features a roofing system rack and roofing system rails as standard, as well as a pair of side-mounted storage cases.
