Bespoke Rolls-Royce Phantoms revealed at Geneva
Rolls-Royce has unveiled a trio of bespoke Phantom models at the 2018 Geneva motor Show, each one curated for ‘specific patrons of the brand’.
The first of the three special models is ‘The Gentleman’s Tourer’ – a short wheelbase automobile inspired by the Phantom II from the 1930s. It gets special Iced Gunmetal paint and a satin silver bonnet, as well as 22-inch wheels with matching self-levelling centre caps.

Rolls-Royce has also unveiled a pair of extended Wheelbase models. The first is called ‘Whispered Muse’ and has been created by designer Helen Amy Murray, using special colours, silks and veneers. Rolls-Royce says the Piano Seashell trim has been hand polished for 12 hours, while the exterior paint is made up of 10 layers, the last of which is glass infused for a crystal effect.
The final bespoke Phantom is titled ‘A moment in Time’. another customer-commissioned EWB car, it uses solid aluminium, Piano Milori Sapphire veneer and hand stitched embroidery to create yet another special limousine. This car, however, has just six layers of paint.
Elsewhere, Rolls-Royce has tweaked its drop-top Dawn model by adding a tonneau cover that sits above the rear seats. Called the Dawn Aero Cowling, it successfully transforms the four-seat convertible into a two-seat roadster, thanks to a pair of ‘cowls’ that sit behind the front head restraints.
Each cowl is made from carbon fibre and aluminium, channelling air so as to enhance passenger comfort with the roofing down. The two cowls double as lockable leather-lined storage compartments, for added practicality when the rear seats are not in use.
